Founded in 2021 by Josh Kelly and now rooted at 435 Trunk Rd, Duncan, VIBC was born from a vision: to elevate barbering into an art form, while keeping it grounded, accessible and real. Josh didn’t just want to open another shop. He wanted a space that reflected his love for sharp design, precise technique and the feeling of walking out looking and feeling better than when you walked in.

our history
Est. September 2021: VIBC began as the vision of Josh Kelley. We started small—a modest two-chair "hole-in-the-wall" on the outskirts of downtown Duncan, focused on delivering great cuts and service.
April 2022: Outgrowing the Space: Thanks to your incredible support, we quickly outgrew our original shop. We packed up and moved right next door, where we truly established ourselves within the Cowichan Valley community and started building our fantastic team.
September 2024: A Major Expansion: Our growth continued, jumping from three barbers to a team of six! This success drove our most recent move to our current, larger location at 435 Trunk Road.
VIBC Today: We're currently a bustling five-chair barbershop, proud to be operating seven days a week with six dedicated staff members, ready to serve you.
